I’ve seen pumpkins turned into scarecrows, the traditional porch decor and of course, the carved jack-o-lantern, but now you can apparently use them to catch fish. After a few years spent on Youtube, Facebook and Pinterest, I have to say some of the creative uses people come up with for things still surprise me! Maybe I can use a Christmas tree to go fishing come winter?

Lately, I’ve been buying pumpkins to decorate for fall and have been inspired by all of the wonderful pumpkin decorating ideas I found on Youtube. Then I came across this DIY made with a pumpkin and it stopped my decorating altogether. If you love fishing like I do, you will see why. Apparently, you can make a fish trap with a pumpkin and a plastic bottles, plus a few nails. My fishing rod may just not get used this weekend. I simply have to try this one out, if only to say I did. What better way to spend a fall afternoon than at the lake, anyway.
