Have you ever seen a cake made from only two main ingredients? Because I haven’t. Not until I saw this tutorial on YouTube by Erstaunliche Rezepte. It’s straightforward and quick to make. Plus, it tastes delicious!
Ingredients:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Boil 3 medium-sized boiled potatoes. Allow to cool before cutting into dice. Place and mash both the diced boiled potatoes and 30 grams of butter in a mixing bowl. Carefully pour over 50ml of milk and continue mashing. Shape the mixture into a ring with a spatula and crack 1 egg in the center. Using a fork, scramble the egg. Then, mix into a paste-like texture using a spoon. Add 1 tsp of salt, then combine.
Sift 150 grams of flour into the bowl and combine until you have a dough-like texture.
Finely chop 1 onion.
In a preheated pan, pour the vegetable oil and add the finely chopped onion. Sprinkle in some salt to taste. Continue to fry the onion until it is transparent or pale in color.
Grate 1 carrot. Add the grated carrot to the pan with the onions. Then, add more salt. Cook until the potatoes are golden brown.
Let it cool and transfer it to a platter.
Thinly slice 500g of mushrooms. Place the sliced mushrooms on a preheated pan and sprinkle them with some salt. Add vegetable oil. Cook mushrooms until they turn brown. Sprinkle in some black pepper. Fry the mushrooms until golden brown.
Place parchment paper around the sides of a 22cm round molder. Carefully put the potato dough in the mold. Dip a spoon of vegetable oil over the dough. Press the dough flat and create sides like an open crate. Place half of the mushrooms in the middle. Spread evenly. Add the cooked onions and carrots on top of the mushrooms. Spread evenly. Put the second half of the mushrooms on top of the carrots. Spread evenly.
