Start by preheating the oven to 350F, then lining a 9″ x 5″ loaf pan with parchment paper and greasing it with cooking spray.
Add the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. Mix until well combined.
In a large mixing bowl, add egg, egg yolk, granulated sugar, butter, sour cream, and vanilla. Mix well, then add the bananas. Stir to combine.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the banana mixture, mixing after every addition.
Add the walnuts and chocolate chips and fold until well incorporated. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan. Top with more nuts and chocolate chips if preferred.
