Onions are ubiquitous pantry staples used in most cooking recipes. You can’t really avoid using onions when you love to cook. But sometimes, it’s difficult to peel off onions if you don’t have a systematic way of doing it. To make matters worse, onions also sometimes make you cry. First, you start by cutting your onion in half right through the long way through the stem and to the root end. Next is to cut the stem ends off. Cut the ball stems off. But make sure to leave the root end alone. The last step is to peel the first layer of the onion. Since you have already cut off the stem ends, it will be easier to peel off the first layer. Then grab the next layer. Until you get to the remaining, softer layer of the onion.
The last trick. You can now start cutting the onion. The root ends will keep it all intact. When you start chopping the onion across, the root end will also keep it in place. So, cutting and chopping the onion will be so much easier. Then, once you’re done, you can now throw away the root end.
