This coming Thanksgiving I thought of experimenting with something I haven’t made for dessert. Thanksgiving is very important to me as it’s the only time my friends and family can gather and enjoy each other’s company. Some usually travel across states to have dinner at my house. So a good recipe for a delightful pie is a wonderful idea for dessert. I thought of making a mashup of two ingredients for a pie. I came across an easy to make recipe of a mashup of pecan and cheese. Catherine’s Plates recipe on Youtube is very helpful. I tried it once before deciding and it really didn’t disappoint! I mean, pecan and cheesecake? That sounds delicious right?
Ingredients:
1(9 inch)unbaked pie crust, thawed
1(8oz) pkgcream cheese, softened
1/4cupwhite granulated sugar
4large divided eggs
1tspvanilla extract
1cupchopped pecans
1cuplight corn syrup
1/4cupbrown sugar packed
Directions:
Start with preheating the oven at 375 degrees. Prepare your mixing bowl, mixer, and other equipment needed to bake. Put the cream cheese in the bowl and beat with the mixer. Add in the granulated sugar then beat. Once smooth, beat the vanilla and 1 egg in the mixture until everything is combined.

Pour cream cheese mixture unto into a pie crust. And make sure to spread the mixture evenly. Cover the cream cheese mixture with sprinkles of pecans.
Beat the rest of the eggs in a medium bowl with your mixer. Then add corn syrup and brown sugar. Continue beating until you see all ingredients are combined. Pour this mixture slowly on the pecans until it fills the pie crust to the top. Place the pie crust on a sheet pan. Make sure the pan is lined because this will prevent slippage.
Pop the pie crust in the oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes until it looks brown. When you take out the pie, make sure it doesn’t jiggle because when it does, you have to bake it again to get the desired result.
Place the pie on a wire rack and let cool. Then get yourself a slice to taste. This recipe is easy to follow. And it doesn’t take long to achieve. Remember, if you want something delightful and delicious for dessert this Thanksgiving, think of this as an option.

Food for me is an art form, so I get my kicks from playing around with flavors and ingredients. And, if you can't find me in the kitchen, I'm probably lurking in a cozy café, sipping on some coffee while indulging in my favorite burnt Basque cheesecake with either a book or phone in hand, of course.
