Mountain Dew has been a popular soda to add in food recipes and this Mountain Dew apple cobbler by Paula Deen on YouTube only requires 6 ingredients to make. If you’re on a diet, this is not the recipe for you because it is full of sugar and calories. However, it is delicious and so simple to make with little to no effort required. These are like mini apple pies too. This is such a southern comfort dessert, and just a spoon bite would make me want more after watching this video and their reactions. This is a good twist on Fall desserts because I’ve never heard of Mountain Dew apple cobbler. Also, those who are a big fan of Mountain Dew would love this recipe.
First, preheat the oven at 350F. Peel, core, and cut the apples. Cut each apple into 8 wedges, and use the crescent rolls to roll each wedge. Then, place the rolls into a 9 x 13 baking dish.
Next, take the melted butter, and add sugar and cinnamon to mix. Then, spoon over the crescent rolls and pour the Mountain Dew over the rolls. Bake for about 45 minutes.
This is an interesting apple cobbler recipe, but Mountain Dew is such a southern soda drink that a lot of people love. Also, note that the apple dumplings can get soggy if they’re sitting in the baking dish, so remove them to the cooling rack if you do not like that. However, I don’t think I would mind it because it would soak up all of the flavor and sugar. Lastly, I think using sugar substitutes would be the best bet for me when making this recipe because the soda has a lot of sugar already.
