My favorite chef on Television, Paula Deen, has amazed us once again with her air fryer blueberry fried pies video recipe tutorial. Paula has done a really nice video series on quarantine cooking, where she comes up with all kinds of delicious recipes that can be made with storable pantry foods. In this blueberry fried pies recipe, Paula makes these succulent pies out of canned puff pastry and canned blueberry pie filling then cooks them for thirty minutes in the air fryer. The delicious fried blueberry pies are done in just 10 minutes and do not contain an excessive amount of oil that you would have if you had fried them the traditional way. You can use fresh fruit, but you will need to peel, cook, sweeten, and thicken the fruit before it can be placed inside the pie pastry.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of puff pastry (or canned biscuits, such as Pillsbury Grands)
  • 1 can of blueberry pie filling
  • Cream cheese (a tablespoon per pie)
  • 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg (beaten, for the egg wash)
  • A fork (to seal the pastry triangle)
  • An air fryer

Directions:

In this air fryer blueberry fried pies video recipe tutorial, you will learn how to make these simple and delicious fried pies with the wonder chef, Paula Deen. You will start by rolling out your puff pastry and cutting it into squares, then adding the blueberry pie filling.
