It may not be the season for oranges but it doesn’t mean that you can’t have one on any random day. You can always make orange-based recipes or drinks whenever you crave them, but there’s only a handful of recipes and methods available online that works and taste divine. Personally, I love making orange mousse, its citrus taste and fluffy texture are just absolutely perfect. You can also serve this on a special occasion, kids will love this too! Hands Touch via YouTube will show us how to prepare this delightful recipe in just a few minutes.
Step 1
Slice the orange in small wedges, then collect about 2 tablespoons (30ml) of orange juice with a strainer placed on top of a bowl. Place a large pot on medium-high heat, then add milk and sugar. Stir until the sugar has completely dissolved. Bring it to a boil then slightly reduce the heat, continue stirring until the milk has reduced by 1/3 or about 10 to 12 minutes. Once the milk’s consistency has thickened, turn off the heat and let it cool completely. If you want to make it smooth, stir it continuously while it is cooling. When the milk mixture is cooled, add the collected orange juice and whip until well combined.

Step 2
In a separate large bowl, put the cold whipping cream and beat until soft peak, reserve a small amount of whipped cream for later. Pour the milk mixture onto the whipped cream and add the orange essence and orange food color, beat until fully combined. Collect ¼ cup (50g) orange pulp and add it onto the mixture, fold and mix well. Assemble in a serving glass by filling it with the orange mixture, then garnish with whipped cream and orange pulp. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
