  • 1 lb of any short pasta
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 3 hot Italian sausages
  • 3 sweet Italian sausages
  • 1 red bell pepper (large diced)
  • 1 green bell pepper (large diced)
  • 1/2 white onion (sliced)
  • 2 cloves of garlic (sliced)
  • 28-ounce can of diced tomato
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black ground pepper

How to Make Sausage and Peppers Pasta

Step 1:

Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add a generous amount of salt, then add the pasta. Cook for 2 minutes less than the package instructions.

Step 2:

Once the pasta is cooked, strain, drizzle a small amount of oil, and toss to prevent sticking. Set aside.

Step 3:

Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil in the same pot. Once hot, fry the sausages in batches, until deeply browned on all sides. Remove, then slice in 3/4 inch rings. Set aside for later.

Step 4:

Add bell peppers, onion, and garlic. Sauté for about 2 minutes.
