Chicken and rice is a staple meal for my family, but it can be time-consuming. This recipe by CANDY THA GLAM COOK is absolutely delicious and the best part of all is that it only requires one pan, so there is very little mess to clean up afterward. I’ve been trying lots of one-pan recipes lately, everything from tacos, to breakfast egg toast.

First, in your pan, add onions, peppers and all the seasonings. Make sure you get the vegetables covered in the seasonings.

Next, add butter and chicken broth to the pan. Mix the broth into the seasonings, and make sure the seasoning isn’t just sitting on the bottom of the pan. This step will make sure your flavors are evenly distributed in the rice.

Add your rice into the pan. Washing the rice will prevent it from becoming too sticky. Mix the rice around in the seasoning and broth to make sure it is spread out evenly.
Place the chicken right on top of the rice and veggies in the pan. Cover the pan in foil and set the oven to 375 degrees. Cook it for about 1 hour, then place it on broil for a few minutes to brown the chicken.
