As the weather gets cozier, I make sure to serve only the heartiest and warmest dishes for my family, like this beef pot pie from Simply Mamá Cooks on YouTube. It’s one of my go-to recipes every fall, but you can definitely enjoy this throughout the year. It’s meaty, flavorful, and filling – perfect for a big-size family like mine. Try this today and see for yourself.
Heat 3 tbsp cooking oil in a large pan, then add the chopped beef steak. Season with 1 tsp granulated garlic powder, 1 tsp granulated onion powder, 1/2 tsp dried thyme, and 1/2 tsp ground black pepper. Saute until browned. Once all the liquid evaporated, add the diced onion and continue to saute together with the meat. Next, add the minced garlic and give it a quick mix. After this, add 1/2 cup all-purpose flour and cook until you get a crust at the bottom. Now, slowly add the beef broth while scraping the bottom of the pan. Continue to cook everything, and once it starts to simmer, adjust the salt to your preference. (Lower the heat to low at this point).

Now, add the frozen mixed vegetables and mix. Once done, go ahead and add the flaky biscuits, covering the surface area of the beef mixture. After this, brush each biscuit with melted butter. Place the pan in a preheated 350 degrees F oven and bake until the biscuits are cooked and golden brown on top. Once finished baking, remove it from the oven, garnish with some dried parsley, and serve!
