Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup dutch process cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup melted butter, unsalted
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate chips, plus more for toppings

Directions:

Step 1

In a bowl, sift 2/3 cup of dutch process cocoa powder, then add 1/4 cup melted butter and 1/4 cup oil. Mix until cocoa powder is dissolved. Next, add 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup white sugar, 2 large eggs, 1 cup milk, and 1/2 tbsp vanilla. Mix until well incorporated. After this, add 1/2 tbsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, and 1 tsp salt. Continue mixing. Now, sift 2 cups of all-purpose flour into the mixture, then add 1 cup of bittersweet chocolate chips. Mix until no flour is visible.

Step 2

Grease and line your loaf dish with parchment paper, then pour the chocolate mixture. Sprinkle some more chocolate chips on top. Place it in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F and bake for 45 to 55 minutes. After baking, let it cool completely.
