In a large mixing bowl, add the 2 lb of ground beef. Next, add 1/2 cup of panko bread crumbs, then 1 large egg (optional). After this, add 1 package of onion soup. Season with 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 to 2 tsp salt, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, and 1 tsp dried oregano. Gently mix to combine the ingredients. With clean hands, scoop out the meat mixture and form the patties. (This will create exactly 8 patties.) In a skillet on medium heat, put some good amount of olive oil. Place the patties on the skillet when you are sure that it is already hot. Sear for about 3-4 minutes. After searing, take the excess oil out of the skillet and return it to the stove. Melt 1 tbsp of butter. Throw 2 sliced small onions into the skillet and saute until slightly translucent. Add another 1 tbsp of butter, and 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour. Cooked the flour for 1-2 minutes. After this, add 2 cups of beef broth and whisk it. Add 1/2 tsp of browning seasoning (optional), and 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce. Mix it. Next, add the mushrooms (optional), 1/2 tsp cajun seasoning, and 1 tsp black pepper. Mix it. Add another 1/2 cup of beef broth to thin out the gravy sauce. After this, place the patties into the gravy sauce. Simmer on low for 5-10 minutes.

In a pot, add water and a pinch of salt. Bring it to a boil, then add 6 peeled and chopped russet potatoes. Boil on high for about 12-15 minutes. After 15 minutes, turn off the heat and drain the potatoes. Mashed the potatoes in the same pot using a handheld potato masher. Next, add 1/2 cup of warm whole milk followed by 1/2 cup of sour cream. Continue mashing it. Add 1/2 stick of melted butter. After this, season with 1/2 tsp salt.
