I love buttery pound cakes and the shape of it when you bake them in a bundt pan. I think when you add the icing on top of the cake, it adds a nice final presentation where it waterfalls on the side.   • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 Large Eggs
  • 4 sticks salted butter
  • 3/4 cups whole milk
  • 1 Teaspoon Butter extract
  • 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract


First, cream the butter and sugar together until smooth in a stand mixing bowl or a hand mixer. Let it mix for about 4-5 minutes on high speed, then slowly add each egg one at a time. Next, pour the pound cake batter into a greased tube pan. Bake at 350F for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Make sure to check in about 1 hour and 10 minutes just in case it is finished. Use a toothpick to check if it comes out clean. Let it cool in the pan on a wire rack for 20 minutes.

Also, you can serve the butter pound cake flipped upside down or add icing on top so it can drop into the crevices on top of the pound cake. Sometimes pound cake can get dry so it’s important to cover the cake when you’re not eating it.
