Ingredients:

  • 2 large onions, roughly chopped
  • 7 sausage links, sliced into round bite-sized pieces
  • Green bell peppers, sliced
  • 6 okra
  • 2 cans of diced tomatoes
  • 3 cups of salsa
  • 2 cans of corn
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 tbsp of salt, or to taste
  • 1 tbsp of black pepper, or to taste
  • Cooking oil

Directions:

Step 1

Roughly chop the onions, then slice the bell peppers, and cut the sausage links into round bite-sized pieces. Place a large deep pan on a stove over medium-high heat, then add some oil, and saute the onions and bell peppers. Give them a good toss and cook the veggies until nice and translucent, then add the diced tomatoes and salsa, and continue to cook them for about 10 minutes.

Step 2

Next, add the corn, and pour 1 cup of water, then give them a good stir before adding the other 1 cup of water, and add the rest of the onions and bell peppers. Season them with salt, then cover them with the lid, and continue to cook for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, add the okras and black pepper, then cook them over medium heat for about 15 to 20 minutes, and then give them a good stir. Turn your heat setting to low, then continue to cook for 15 more minutes until thick and saucy, and then turn off the heat. Serve and enjoy!
