Ingredients:

  • 1½ cup of coconut flakes
  • 1-1½ cups of chopped pecans
  • 1 box of German chocolate cake mix, prepare according to package instructions
  • 1 (8 ounces) block of cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 2 cups of powdered sugar
  • Eggs, oil, and water, for the cake batter

Directions:

Step 1

First, prepare your cake mix according to the package instructions, then set it aside. In a large mixing bowl, add the cream cheese and butter, then beat them together until well combined, add the sugar halfway, and continue beating until fully combined. Spray the bottom of a 9 by 13 inches cake pan, then sprinkle the coconut all over the pan evenly, and sprinkle the chopped nuts.

Step 2

Pour the cake batter into the cake pan, then spread it evenly, and dollop the cream cheese mixture all over the top of the cake. Take a spatula, then carefully swirl the cream cheese around, and bake it in the preheated oven at 350°F for about an hour. Once done baking, let it cool or serve it while still hot, and enjoy!
