Pour 1 cup + 2 tbsp warm water into a bowl followed by 2 & 1/2 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tsp instant yeast. Stir well until combined then add 3 tbsp melted butter and 2 & 3/4 cups flour. Mix until dough forms. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it sit and rise in a warm environment for one hour. After an hour, remove the cover and deflate the dough. Fold the edges toward the center, then transfer the dough to a surface. Slap and fold the dough three to four times until smooth and soft.

Flour your working surface and using a rolling pin, flatten the dough into a rectangular shape. After this, divide and cut the dough into 12 equal pieces, then roll each of them into small logs. Next, grease your baking tray with some butter and line it with parchment paper. Transfer the rolled dough to the prepared baking tray, then cover them with plastic wrap and place it in a warm environment for one hour. After an hour, brush each rolled dough with egg wash. Place in the oven at 350 degrees F and bake for 22 – 25 minutes.
