With only a few minutes and less effort, you can have the best-tasting garlic parmesan dinner rolls that you can eat and serve any time and any day you like.
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, mix together the yeast, ½ cup of flour, sugar, and warm water until well combined, then cover, and let rest in a warm place for about 15 to 20 minutes or until bubbling. Next, stir in the salt, olive oil, and egg, then mix them together until well combined before stirring in the remaining 1¾ cup of flour until it forms into a loose and sticky dough, and it’s starting to pull away from the sides of the bowl. Cover it with a damp towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 1½ hours or until it doubled in size. Once the dough is ready, punch and degas, then scrape the dough from the sides of the bowl as well, and transfer it onto a lightly floured surface.

Step 2
Sprinkle more flour on the dough, then start shaping it into a rectangle at about 10 by 12 inches that are about ½ inch thick. Brush it with melted butter, then sprinkle the garlic, Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, black pepper, cayenne, and parsley. Now, press one long edge of the rectangle flat, then burhs it with water, and start rolling it evenly into a log beginning from the opposite end. Press the seams together to seal, then cut the log dough into 8 rolls, and transfer them to a baking sheet with its cut side up. You can cut an “X” on the top of each roll to express the filling, then preheat your oven to 200°C or 400°F. Brush each roll with olive oil, then sprinkle them with more cheese, cover, and let rise for about 20 to 30 minutes or until slightly puffed. Bake them in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown, then serve, and enjoy!
