Ingredients:

For the crust

  • Golden Oreo (family size)
  • 3 quarters of a cup of butter
  • food processor (you can also use a ziplock and a rolling pin)
  • measuring cup
  • baking dish
  • non-stick cooking spray
  • medium bowl

Lemon pudding mixture

  • 2 boxes of lemon instant pudding mix
  • 3 and 1/4 cups of cold milk

Second layer

  • 8 ounces of cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces of cool whip (thawed out)

Directions:

Step 1

To start, place a whole family pack of golden oreo into a food processor. (In the absence of a food processor, you can use a zip lock and just beat it with a rolling pin.) Put all the golden oreo crumbs into a medium bowl and start melting three-quarters of a cup of butter. After this, add the melted butter to the bowl and mix it. Take a measuring cup (about half a cup) and fill it with the crumb mixture; set aside. Next, spray the baking dish with a non-stick cooking spray. Add the crumb mixture and spread it evenly and nicely. Press it using a fork. Place it in the refrigerator to set it. In a large bowl, put two boxes of lemon instant pudding mix. Next, add 3 1/4 cups of cold milk. Whisk it until you get a pudding consistency. Set it aside.

Step 2

In a bowl, put 8 ounces of softened cream cheese. Whisk it until it’s nice and smooth. Next, add 1 cup of powdered sugar but put it in a quarter cup (1/4 cup) at a time. Get a spatula and add 8 ounces of the cool whip; mix it. Now, get the baking dish with the crumb crust from the refrigerator and start building the layers up. First, add the cream cheese mixture and spread it evenly. (Just a quick tip, use an offset spatula to spread much easier, it won’t also pull the bottom crust up.) Next, put the lemon pudding mixture and smooth it evenly. After this, get another container of 8 ounces of cool whip (you can make your own topping if you don’t want to use cool whip by using any heavy whip cream.) and lightly spread it over the lemon pudding layer. Get the half cup of the crumb mixture from earlier and sprinkle it all over the top of the dessert. Slightly press it using the bottom of a measuring cup. Place it inside the refrigerator for two hours.
