I always have leftover bread from busy mornings, and I make them into bread pudding so my family can enjoy it after work and school. My go-to bread pudding recipe is from Danz Foodpark on Youtube. Who would have thought adding raisins and chocolate chips could elevate a bread pudding? Thanks to this recipe, I now add raisins or anything available whenever I make bread pudding. It’s also super simple to make, and I bet all the ingredients are in your kitchen already. You can also use stale bread for this, and it’s a no-bake recipe! I love how versatile this recipe is, so if you’re looking for the perfect bread pudding, try this recipe today. Watch the video below to learn the step-by-step instructions.

Ingredients:

  • 5 – 6 slices of bread
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Directions:

Step 1

Cut the slices of bread into bite-size pieces. Set aside. Next, to a large mixing bowl, crack three large eggs and add 3/4  cup sugar, then whisk thoroughly until the sugar dissolves. After this, add 2 tbsp melted butter, 1 cup evaporated milk, and 1 tsp vanilla essence. Continue to mix until everything is well combined. Now, add the bread cubes and make sure every piece is soaked with the egg mixture. Leave it for five minutes.

Step 2

Next, grease a 7-inch round pan with some butter, then line it with parchment paper. Back to the bread, after five minutes of soaking, add 1/2 cup of raisins and 1/2 cup of chocolate chips. Fold them in to combine, then pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Spread nicely and evenly. (You can add more raisins and chocolate chips on top if you like.) Pan-bake it for 30 minutes over low heat. After 30 minutes, remove it from the pan and let it cool completely before serving.
