Summer season is finally here, and I can’t wait to go to different beaches and have a dip in the pool. I just love basking in the sun and enjoying the warm weather. But of course, I am aware that too much sun exposure is harmful, so I always bring sunscreen with me. I recently found out that a lot of commercial sunscreens have all kinds of chemicals that are not good for our skin. I was shocked to know that some even increase our risk of skin cancer. So I looked for DIY recipes online and found this natural sunscreen recipe by Dr. Eric Berg DC. This is very easy to make and won’t harm your skin like the others. The four ingredients make an excellent combination to protect you from UV rays that cause premature aging, sun spots, and blisters. Not only that, this cream also nourishes and moisturize your skin. I am now using this homemade cream, and it does work great.
Note: make sure to use non-nano zinc oxide as it doesn’t easily absorb into your skin

Add 1/2 cup of coconut oil, 1/4 cup of olive oil, and 1/4 cup of aloe vera gel in a pot. Mix everything together and place it over your stove. Heat the mixture until it’s just warm and everything melts together.
Once it’s warm, remove it from the heat. Add 2 tablespoons of non-nano zinc oxide to the mixture. Mix until well combined.
Let the mixture cool down, then transfer to a bottle. Apply to your skin the same way how you use your sunscreen. Use this every time you go out.
