If you are a mustard lover, you are going to think this mustard chicken tutorial I found on Youtube by G Rich, is awesome. I love mustard and this recipe calls for French’s, my favorite mustard in the whole world. This recipe calls for a generous amount of French’s mustard to coat the chicken before you add the spices and flour. You could use any mustard for this chicken but the chef, G Rich says, you absolutely need to use French’s because it really goes well with the hot cayenne pepper you will be adding to this Southern-style chicken recipe.
Ingredients For 6 To 7 Pounds Of Chicken:
- 1/4 cup garlic powder
- 1/4 cup seasoned salt (Lowery’s is good)
- 16 ounces of French’s Mustard (you will coat the washed and dried chicken with this first)
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground black cracked pepper
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
- You can season your flour if you want to, but it is not required
Directions:
In this video tutorial, G Rich will show you exactly how to make this mustard fried chicken recipe. He starts with clean washed and dried chicken then adds his Fench’s mustard, then he uses his hands to make sure every inch of the chicken is coated. He then adds all the delicious seasonings and continues coating the chicken by hand.
Then you will fill a ziplock freezer bag half full of flour and add your seasoned mustard chicken and shake well. Then when your oil is hot, add the floured chicken and cook till golden brown.
This mustard fried chicken looks so delicious, I cannot wait to make it.
