This Mountain Dew dumplings recipe is recreated by Debbie’s Kitchen on YouTube which is originally by Paula Deen. However, she made her own tweaks to this recipe. If you don’t like Mountain Dew, you can use your favorite soda instead or none. I’m not a big soda person, but I think soda adds a nice touch and additional flavor when it comes to baking and desserts. The apple dumplings are cute and the perfect size to serve a person. There’s a lot of Mountain Dew cinnamon glaze that the dumplings are sitting in which makes them moist and flavorful.
First, take the crescent roll out of the can and peel it along the seams that are already made out. Then, take your sliced apples and place them on the wide side of the crescent roll. Roll it in the dough, and place it into your baking dish with the seam side down. Repeat until finished. Continue to watch Debbie’s Kitchen tutorial on YouTube for full instructions and details.

Next, let the apple dumplings sit in the cinnamon-sugar mixture and pour the Mountain Dew straight from the can and into the baking dish. Bake for 45-50 minutes at 350F. Use a spoon to scoop the Mountain Dew sugar mixture and layer it on top of each dumpling.
Overall, these Mountain Dew apple dumplings are a sweet treat. This looks amazing and although I’m not a big cinnamon fan, they look like a super Fall dessert. This can be made during any time of the year, and perfect for Mountain Dew lovers. It’s definitely a southern dessert dish to make.
