Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/8 tsp ground allspice
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, add 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, 1 tsp ground ginger, 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg, 1/8 tsp ground cloves, 1/8 tsp ground allspice, 1 tsp baking powder, and 1/2 tsp salt. Whisk them well together and set aside. To another bowl, add 1/2 cup room temperature butter and 1 cup granulated sugar. Whisk using an electric mixer, then add 1 cup of pumpkin puree, 1/2 cup cream, 2 large eggs, 1/4 cup molasses, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Mix well together.

Step 2

Now, combine the wet and dry mixture, and mix them until nicely incorporated. Once done, transfer the batter into a greased loaf pan and smooth out the top. Place it in the preheated 350 degrees F oven and bake for 60 to 75 minutes. After baking, let it cool for five to ten minutes before digging in.
