This is definitely one of the more popular mason jar projects around, and I can certainly see why. There’s a real ethereal quality that is a result of doing this and it has an amazing calming effect at night.

When these are glowing at night, these have an incredible calming affect on you, leaving you with a peaceful feeling. Putting one or more of these in your bedroom, at night, will help you to relax after a hard day at work.

These will look beautiful grouped together or alone and are quite beautiful at night in one of your favorite spaces!

Make several of these mason jar lights for a party, as a centerpiece outside, for some great ambient lighting.  These are sure to be a hit with your guests. A flameless tea light adds the right amount of subtle glow!

These DIY Mermaid Lights are also surprisingly easy to make. They add ambience to any room. You will love the orange and yellow flames that dance behind the mermaid cutouts.

For additional effects you can add glue glitter on the outside of the jar to give it a pretty frosted look. These mermaid mason jar lights would make a great nightlight for kids bedrooms too.

Pikatea shows us how to make these in her step by step tutorial that is attached below, so make sure to check it out!

Since I lover experiments, Iโ€™ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
