It’s a fantastic dish that can get on the table in just 20 minutes – quick and easy, right? It’s also super delicious, and I’m sure every member of the family will love this. Ingredients:

  • 12 oz linguine
  • 12 oz cherry or grape tomatoes (halved or quartered if large)
  • 1 onion (thinly sliced, about 2 cups)
  • 4 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 sprigs of basil (plus torn leaves for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil (plus more for serving)
  • coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 4 1/2 cups of water

Directions:

Step 1

In the saute pan, add the 12 oz dry linguine, 2 cups of thinly sliced onion, 12 oz halved or quartered cherry tomatoes, 4 cloves of thinly sliced garlic, 1/4 tsp of freshly cracked black pepper, 2 tsp of salt, 1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes, and 4 & 1/2 cups of water. Add 2 big sprigs of basil and place the saute pan on the stove.

Step 2

Turn the stove on high heat and bring it to a boil. Stir the pasta frequently with tongs, until it’s al dente, about 9 minutes. After it is cooked, transfer some to a plate, and garnish with some torn basil leaves and some freshly grated parmesan cheese. You can also sprinkle some black pepper and a little more salt and a drizzle of olive oil.
