That’s why it’s called a dump cake because you dump the ingredients all in the baking dish, and it’s good to go in the oven. Ingredients:

  • 1 box of white or yellow cake mix (you can use any cake mix)
  • 2 cans of lemon pie filling (21 oz per can)
  • 8 oz cream (cheese soften)
  • 1 stick of butter (unsalted)
  • baking dish
  • any kind of nut (optional)

Note: If you want a strong lemon flavor for your cake, you can use lemon cake mix.

Directions:

Step 1:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F, then grease your baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 3:

Put two cans of lemon pie filling and spread evenly into the baking dish. Next, use a knife to cut the cream cheese into small portions and place them on the top of the filling. Sprinkle the cake mix across, then add slices of butter on top.  Add the nuts for a crunchy texture.

If you want your cake to have a crumbly texture, melt the butter and stir with the cake mix. You can also add more butter if you like.

Step 3:

Place inside the oven and bake for 45-55 minutes (depending on the type of your oven) or until golden brown.

That’s it! Put ice cream on top then serve.
