One of the most brilliant projects I have ever seen is this project by Evrim Taşer Yılmaz. I never imagined making a lamp from a glass globe and a fishnet sock. It’s super creative, and I love how it turned out. You can place it on your work desk or any table in your house. Watch the video below for full instructions.

Materials:

  • globe
  • fishnet socks
  • big plastic bottle
  • blade
  • scissors
  • hot glue
  • sandpaper
  • cardboard
  • bamboo placemat
  • tracing paper
  • jute rope
  • wooden bead
  • fairy lights

Instructions:

Step 1:

Carefully cut the top part of the big plastic bottle using a blade. Straighten the edge using sharp scissors, then use sandpaper to dull the edges.

Step 2:

Get the cardboard and place the plastic circle on top. Trace the circle and cut it. Glue it on the bamboo placemat, then cut it to the shape of the cardboard. Cover the backside with tracing paper.

Step 3:

Glue the covered cardboard circle on the plastic. Next, wrap it with jute rope all the way around. This will be the stand.

Step 4:

Insert the globe in one of the legs of the fishnet sock. Tie it on the end and cut the excess. Glue jute rope around the edge of the globe to secure the fishnet. Once done, tear the fishnet on the opening. To secure the fishnet on the bottom part of the globe, you can tear it a little bit and add glue.

Step 5:

Glue jute rope in a spiral motion on the bottom part of the globe to cover the fishnet.
