Who doesn’t love KFC’s famous potato wedges? They’re crispy, flavorful, and addicting! Luckily, I can finally make these at home with this fantastic recipe from All Wings Everything on YouTube. I’m telling you, these potato wedges taste just like KFC’s but at a fraction of its price because all you need are potatoes and some seasonings you already have in your kitchen.

Ingredients:

  • 3 – 4 Russet or yukon potatoes
  • 1 tbsp cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp seasoned salt
  • 1 cup of plain flour
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp Tabasco sauce

Directions:

Step 1

To start, wash your potatoes thoroughly and cut them into wedges. Next, Combine 1 cup of plain flour, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tbsp cajun seasoning, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp ground black pepper, and 1 tbsp seasoned salt in a mixing bowl and mix together until combined. In another bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of milk, one egg, and 1 tbsp Tabasco sauce. Whisk to combine. Now, pour the egg mixture into the potato wedges and let them sit for about ten to fifteen minutes.

Step 2

After ten minutes, coat the potato wedges into the flour mixture, and place them in a rack. Continue this until you coated all the potatoes. Once done, heat enough cooking oil for deep frying and once it reaches 375 degrees F, carefully drop the potato wedges. Cook them in batches so you won’t overcrowd your pan. Fry them for about three to five minutes. Serve them with your favorite dip. Enjoy!
