Breakfast potatoes are my favorite food in the entire world, so when I found this excellent video tutorial on Youtube video by 365 Days Of Slow And Pressure Cooking where the Youtuber teaches us, step by step how to make sauteed breakfast potatoes in the Instant Pot. The breakfast potatoes are also excellent by themselves served with a ketchup condiment on the side or really jazzed up by adding sausage and onions. My grandma used to make a fried potato dish that was very much like this but she called it German fried potatoes and we all loved it. We used to eat the German fried potato medley with her famous pork chops or sometimes just on their own with lots of spicy ketchup. The way I make my spicy ketchup these days is to just add a few tablespoons of hot salsa to the ketchup and mix it up. When I say salsa I mean the hot sauce like Pace that has the tomatoes in it.
There is a steamer basket you can get for your Instant Pot made from silicone that is simple to use. You just cut your potatoes into cubes, peeled or unpeeled, how ever you like them is fine. Cook for 3 minutes on the pressure cooking setting.
Then remove the basket and set your Instant Pot on the saute setting and add butter to the Pot and then add your partially cooked potatoes and seasonings, while stirring, cook to desired doneness.
This is a great little Instant Pot recipe, so glad I found it.
