Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of unsalted butter (melted)
  • 3/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup of light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can of 14 ounces of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 package of caramel candies

Instructions:

Step 1:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F then grease an 8 x 8 inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper.

Step 2:

Add melted butter and cocoa powder into a large mixing bowl then whisk well until well combined. Next, add the sugar, eggs, vanilla, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt and whisk until smooth. Add the flour and chocolate chips then stir. Put half of the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.

Step 3:

Place a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Pour the condensed milk and cook until warm for about 3 minutes while stirring often. Add the caramel and remaining salt. Stir it until it’s fully melted and smooth then take off from the heat.

Step 4:

Pour 2/3 of the caramel sauce on top of the brownie batter in the pan. Once done, dollop the remaining brownie batter on top of the caramel. Make sure to not press it.

Step 5:

Place in the oven and bake for 35 to 45 minutes. After baking, let it cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.

Step 6:

Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce on top. You can also sprinkle it with salt too. Slice into squares then serve. Enjoy!
