Materials:

  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Water
  • Watering can
  • Spray bottle

Step 1

Adding hydrogen peroxide directly to the soil not only kills the fungus that’s in the soil but also stops the fungs from eating the roots of the plants. Prepare 2 batches of solution mixture, the 1st batch should have a ratio of 3% hydrogen peroxide to water, which then would be poured directly onto the soil. The 1st batch of solution mixture shouldn’t touch the foliage or it would burn the leaves. Meanwhile, the 2nd batch is simply a mixture of 1 teaspoon hydrogen peroxide to 1 cup of water, transfer it to a spray bottle, and spray it onto the leaves or foliage.

Step 2

Spraying the plants protects them from pests, bugs, and ants. It also promotes vigorous plant growth, when applied to roots it enables roots of plants to absorb more nutrients because of the extra oxygen element from the hydrogen peroxide. You can also use this to pretreat the seed before planting as it will prevent seeds from diseases, simply soak the seeds briefly in hydrogen peroxide, then rinse and plant. Lastly, disinfect any planting containers especially from last year of previous growing with a mixture of 1 to 1 ratio of 3% hydrogen peroxide to water, not only does it disinfect but helps plants grow faster and healthier.
