When you leave your clothes in the dryer for too long they inevitably will shrink, especially if they are 100 percent cotton. When I found this awesome video tutorial describing how t unshrink your clothes by Jair Woo, on YouTube, I was so excited to be able to give my shrunken clothes a second chance. I really got the message loud and clear when my son commented that a shirt I was wearing, saying, Mom, you look like one of those teddy bears at the craft fair that has clothes on, lol! You know the ones I mean? Those teddy bears that look completely stuffed into a tiny t-shirt are kind of cute, but they aren’t something I need to be wearing.

Materials For Unshrinking Your Clothes:

  • A shrunken article of clothing
  • 1 tablespoon of hair conditioner
  • A bucket or bowl

You begin by filling a bowl with lukewarm water, not too hot, but not cool because the fabric fibers need to be opened up. Then you will add one tablespoon of hair conditioner, and swish it all around.

Then, you will immerse your garment in the lukewarm water bath and let soak for 30 minutes then you will follow the instructions in the video to stretch your article of clothing.
