Start by wearing your gloves, then remove anything blocking the drain.
Take off the stopper or drain strainer by removing the screws using your screwdriver.
Start unclogging it with just the snake. It might solve your problem without having to use the auger. Insert the snake into the drain and guide it toward the bend. Try to hook it and lift the clog out.
Is it still clogged? Now you need a manual auger. Squeeze the trigger and turn the handle clockwise to feed the snake. Insert the snake into the drain and turn the handle clockwise 10 times.
