Cutting mats can be kind of expensive, but they are really cheap at Dollar Tree, the only problem is that the cutting mats from Dollar Tree are way too small for most projects. When I found this wonderful cutting mat hack by Kelly Barlow Creations on YouTube, and I was amazed at this genius idea. The large cutting mat hack is very easy to pull off as well, all you need are 6 or more cutting mats from Dollar Tree and a roll of duct tape and you are in business!

Materials For Large Cutting Mat:

• 6 or more small cutting mats
• 1 roll of duct tape

You start by laying your cutting mats out on a flat surface and duct ain’t the sid you wish to be the back. Kelly tapes the grid side, I would tape the solid side, but that’s just me.

Then, you can have the solid side as the top to tape this side to have the grid side as the top.

This is a fantastic idea sn is useful. I have a good self-healing cutting mat, but this one will be good for glue or decoupage projects because I won’t worry about messing it up.
