I recently found this wonderful canvas image transfer video tutorial by Astar’s Place, on YouTube, and I thought this was a great option for a unique and affordable piece of wall art. The method of making this image transfer is super easy, yet the final product is super high end. I got all the materials I needed from Michael’s craft store, where I used some great coupons that I found on their app.

Materials For Image Transfer To Canvas:

  • A scanned and copied image of your choice
  • A canvas
  • Mod Podge
  • Foam craft paintbrushes
  • A roller (to smooth it)
  • A sponge

Directions:

In this wonderful canvas image transfer video tutorial by Astar’s Place, on YouTube, you will learn to make this beautiful artwork in a few easy steps. You start by pouring the ModPodge onto your canvas and brushing it out smooth. Then you will add your photocopied picture, face down, and roll it smooth to the canvas to get all the wrinkles out of it and clean off any excess glue with a damp rag. Then you will let it dry for 24 hours.

Then, after 24 hours of drying, you take a wet sponge and clear off all the excess top paper. You can give your artwork another coat of glossy Mod Podge for a professional finish.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
