There is nothing more simple and comfortable than a wrap dress. Wrap dresses look so chic and they are adjustable if you are feeling bloated or larger than usual. I always have trouble finding clothes that fit me, so I have been making my own clothes for quite a while. When I found this brilliant wrap dress video tutorial by Jessica Shaw on Youtube, I really wanted to get started on this as soon as possible. I only needed two yards of fabric, which I found at JoAnn’s Fabric in South Park Meadows, Austin. I chose a beautiful white eyelet fabric from the specialty cotton section. I found a 60 percent off coupon on JoAnn’s app and just let the cashier scan my phone and I received an instant saving.

Materials:

  • 2 yards of fabric
  • Thread
  • A sewing machine
  • Scissors
  • A rotary cutter (if you do not have one, that is ok)
  • Paper (to draw your pattern onto)

Directions:

In this wrap dress video tutorial by Jessica Shaw on Youtube, you will be guided step by step through this sewing project. You start by cutting out the fabric panels. After that, you might want to fit the pieces onto your body to adjust any sizing issues.
