If you can’t decide on what to do with your old pair of denim jeans, then repurpose them into a sewing tray/ kit with just very easy steps! Simply follow the instructions according to wandee easy sewing via YouTube and you’ll have your very own denim tray in no time.
Step 1
Trace a plate onto the leg of the jeans, or simply trace a circle with a diameter of 10 5/8 inches, then cut around the excess, and do this to the other leg as well. You’ll have a total of 4 pieces. Prepare and cut a fusible interfacing fabric with the same size as your circle denim pattern, place each fusible interfacing fabric on top of the denim fabric, then press them together with an iron. Place another circle of denim on top of the side where the denim is as well, make sure their right sides are facing each other, then mark and leave a gap of about 6 inches (15.3 cm) for turning the fabric later.

Step 2
Sew around with a ¼ inch (0.7 cm) seam allowance, then make notches around except the gap, turn them right side out. Poke the corners nicely, then fold the seam of the gap inwards, and clip them in place. Sew around with ¼ inch seam allowance, fold down in half, then fold across in half, mark the center point then unfold once keeping it in a half-circle state. Pin it in place, then measure the length of the half-circle, divide it into three equal parts, measure 2 inches (5 cm) from the edge, mark the sides as well, then unfold it, and mark the other side of the circle. Place and sew the fabric label anywhere in the gap you want.
Stack the 2 pieces of sewn circle fabric together, then topstitch along each line you’ve made earlier. Measure 1½ inches in each gap from the edge, then join two sides together and hand stitch starting on the mark to the edge of the fabric, repeat until you’ve joined all sides.
