After watching this video, I learned so much on which potatoes work better based on how you like your potatoes cooked. Whether if it’s crisp to creamy or firm and fluffy, there’s a method to it all. I never thought I would learn something more out of a roasting potato tutorial. There’s more to this tutorial than the steps so, get ready to learn some science and potato-roasting method from the ground up.
First, peel and chop your potatoes. Boil your potatoes in salt and baking soda so the moisture is there and leaves to a thicker crust. Next, make flavored garlic and herb oil then strain it out in a large bowl. This ensures that the herbs do not burn while being roasted in the oven if you mix them together during the cooking process. I think this is a smart idea and a tip I learned from watching this video.
Then, drain the cooked potatoes and add them in the bowl with the infused oil. Toss the potatoes until they get a little pasty on the exterior of each chunk.
