Step 1:

The first thing you need to do is get rid of mildew. You can make a DIY solution using water and vinegar in a spray bottle, then spray it on affected areas. Let it sit for a while before scrubbing it off. To prevent mildew, make sure the room is properly ventilated. You can run a fan in that area to reduce humidity.
