If your dog is experiencing intense itching, redness, rash, and inflammation, then most probably, your fur baby is suffering from ticks. Luckily, there are cheaper and more natural remedies that might work and you can try them at home. However, you must remember that these remedies are not a replacement for veterinary treatment, and it is best to consult your dog’s doctor first. Thanks to AnimalWised on YouTube for these amazing tips and methods.
Trick #1: Apple cider vinegar
This ingredient helps remove ticks and other parasites as well. Simply add equal parts of water and apple cider vinegar in a bowl, then mix them together until combined. Dip a clean cloth on the mixture and rub it onto the dog’s skin

Trick #2: Citrus
Lemon helps repel ticks, but orange, grapefruit, and lime could work, too. Simply boil 2 cups of water with 2 lemons cut in half, then cover it with the lid, and let it simmer for about 1 hour. Once done, let it cool completely, then transfer the water mixture to a spray bottle, and apply it to the dog’s body. Wait for any allergic reaction before proceeding and make sure to keep it away from the face, especially the eyes.

Trick #3: Chamomile
Some reports suggest that this is an effective remedy against ticks and serves as a repellent. All you have to do is to prepare chamomile tea, then let it cool before rubbing it on the dog’s skin, and you’re done. This can also help prevent the growth of tick eggs.
Trick #4: Natural oils
There are a lot of natural oils that can help prevent ticks such as neem oil mixed with water. Simply dilute 2 drops of neem oil in half a liter of water, then apply it to the dog’s body, and wait for any allergic reaction before proceeding.
