Place a large frying pan on your stove with the heat turned off.
Put the pasta in the frying pan and pour a quart and a half or more water on top of the pasta. It should be submerged.
Turn on the heat and let it cook for a few minutes. Because of the cold water, the pasta won’t stick to itself at the very beginning. Cook until al dente, stirring occasionally. When done cooking, you should have perfectly cooked pasta and a thickened liquid that you can use to make different kinds of sauces.
