Preparing potatoes can be done a lot of different ways but if you’re someone who doesn’t want to include the skin of the potato in your recipe or doesn’t need it, then of course, you would have to peel it off either before or after cooking. But in this case, if you’re boiling your potatoes and needed to peel off the skin right after, then you must know how difficult and a bit tricky that could be. Sometimes it just doesn’t happen the way you want it and it can also consume more time than intended. But luckily, Smart Fox on YouTube had this incredibly handy and genius hack that I have now been using ever since learning it. Watch this video tutorial now so you can try it out, too!
Step 1
After washing the potatoes clean, make a slice through the skin with a knife until you end up at the beginning. It doesn’t have to be straight as it just needs for each end to connect, then do this to all of the potatoes that you want to cook, and place them in a pot. Fill the pot with water, then sprinkle some salt, and place it on the stove over medium-high heat or high heat.

Step 2
Allow them to cook for about 30 minutes as usual, then once done cooking, transfer them to a bowl or container filled with cold water, and leave them for about 20 seconds. Remove the potatoes from the water bath, then tear the skin off with both hands as shown in the video, and you’re done.
