But of course, any grilled food will not be complete without refreshments. A cold can of beer, soft drink, or juice makes everything perfect. That’s when we bring out our coolers. The problem with some coolers is that the ice doesn’t last for long. Sometimes, it just melts really fast. So, the question is can you keep the ice last for a longer period? Yes, you can.
Bison Coolers has a few tips for you. These simple steps can make ice last longer in your cooler.
Chill your cooler first. Add ice for several hours before placing food and drinks. This will help cool the inside of the cooler and enhance ice retention after products are added.
Chill or freeze the contents, then load them into your cooler. This is a great way to ensure longer ice retention. The colder they are the longer they will stay cold.
Fill your cooler with as much ice as possible. More ice means less air and longer ice retention. The volume of ice should double the volume of the product in the cooler.
Cold water is better than air. Therefore, it is suggested not to drain the water unless absolutely necessary.
