De-icers are important and can speed up the process when your car windshield is covered with ice or snow. Zrk Reviews on YouTube shows how to make your own homemade de-icer spray to defrost your car. When I ran out of my de-icer spray, I didn’t want to buy more so I just use an ice scraper and sometimes lukewarm water instead. I know that it isn’t the best for your car, but I did what I thought would work. Also, I would keep my engine on and running to warm up and melt off the ice. After watching this video, I’ve learned that it is bad to keep your car running until it melts because it can drain your fuel. First, add tap water to the measuring cup, and the amount of water depends on the size of your spray bottle. This demonstration uses 1/3 cup of tap water. Add 2/3 cup of rubbing alcohol into the water.

Spray the homemade de-icer onto your car windows, and the solution will start to melt the ice immediately. This is such a cheap way to make your own de-icer at home without buying the premade products in the store. You can make a good amount of de-icer with inexpensive products compared to one store-bought bottle. Using a de-icer saves so much time and I am impressed how fast it worked. I will use this tip when there’s ice or snow frozen on my windshield.
