Most ingredients you need to make this solution are probably already in your kitchen. You only need apple cider vinegar, sugar, and dish soap. It is proven effective and works instantly. You don’t have to make funnel traps; a shallow container or lid will do.

In a container or bowl, add 1 cup of water, 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 2 drops of dish soap. Mix until well combined.
Place the shallow plastic lid in places where you often see gnats or fruit flies. Pour some of the mixture. After a few hours, you’ll see gnats trapped in the mixture. Make sure to keep it away from your pets.
For gnats in your garden soil, mix 2 drops of Dawn soap to a cup of water or 8 drops to a liter of water in a spray bottle. Spray it on the soil and plants.
