Using the round cap and fabric marker, create rounded corners on the rectangular pattern. Once done, cut the curves using a pair of scissors.
Press a fabric scrap in half right sides together, then trace the rectangle pattern with rounded corners. Mark an opening on top. Repeat the process 9 times more to make a total of 10 pieces.
Get one of the fabric scraps and sew each on the line. Make sure not to stitch the opening. Once done, cut the excess fabric just above the sewn line. Flip the right side out, and top stitch the edge of the fabric. Do the same for the remaining pieces.
Get one of the fabrics and fold it in half. Place the elastic parallel to the straight edge, mark with a pen, then sew. Do the same process for the other 9 pieces.
Assemble the petals in a circle, and cut an 8.7″ elastic. Insert a needle with a thread on one end of the elastic, then insert the needle on each of the petals. Once done, sew the ends together.
Adjust the petals to fill the whole elastic, then open each of the petals.
