Whenever Christmas comes, it’s almost always a must for chocolate-based dessert to be present at the table. No holiday party is ever complete without one sweet treat. Making this recipe won’t even make you sweat, it’s that easy! But, your guests for sure will think otherwise because of its winter-themed visual. These tasty homemade treats are sure to leave the serving plates clean and guarantee no leftovers. Ingredients:

  • 100g Whole almonds
  • 2tbsp Icing sugar
  • 100g Dark chocolate or milk chocolate
  • 1tsp Christmas spice blend or mixed spice
  • 1tbsp Vanilla extract
  • 80g Icing sugar
  • Unsweetened cocoa (optional)
  • Cherry Liqueur (optional)

Directions:

Step 1

In a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a bowl, pour the almonds and coat with icing sugar. Mix it until the almonds are fully coated. You can replace the almonds with any nut of your choice. In a microwavable bowl, put the chocolate bars cut into smaller pieces then pop them in a microwave for 1 minute to melt. Add the mixed spice and vanilla extract then stir. You can also add cherry liqueur for some kick, but this is completely optional and depends on your preference.

Step 2

Pour the almonds into the melted chocolate mixture and mix until fully coated. Get a container with a tight lid and sprinkle some icing sugar at the bottom, then transfer the coated almonds, sprinkle more icing sugar on top, close the lid and shake. Let it sit for around 30 minutes before eating.
