For old tires that you don’t want to throw out yet, do this easy and fun project by Sekretmastera on YouTube! Decorate your garden or yard with this swan by following these simple and easy steps.
Step 1
Draw the head of the swan along the tire’s sidewall with a size of about 10-11cm (3.9-4.3 inches) long, then draw the neck the same length of the beak. The head and the neck should be more than half the circumference of the tire, then the width of the swan’s neck at the base can be increased slightly as your reach the end, find half of the length of the tire then mark the length of the neck, and start drawing the neck until you reach the mark. At the marking of the beak, draw the end of the swan’s tail.

Step 2
Before you start cutting the markings on the tire, first, cut a hole with a knife, drill, or angle grinder, then use an angle grinder to do all the cuts, try to cut 5cm (1.9 inches) on each side and not cut the whole line, otherwise, it will be difficult to cut on the rubber the second line of the flexibility of the material. Once you’re done cutting, spread open the tire and start shaping it, flip the tire’s fold on the opposite side. To hold the swan’s neck in place, drill a hole along the base of the neck and body, then insert staple wires all over the body and neck. Then along with those brackets, insert a wire or metal rod, and reshape the neck to the desired position, then paint the rubber either white or black and the orange on the beak.
