How to Make a Rose With a Ribbon

Handmade flowers are more special because of the effort and time it took to make them. Materials:

• 1.6″ wide ribbon
• ruler
• pencil
• scissors
• glue gun

If you are going to use a ribbon with a different width, use this formula to determine the length you need: twice the width + 0.4 inches

Instructions:

Step 1:

Measure 3.5″ from the end of the ribbon and mark. Repeat until you made 12 marks. Cut each piece.

Step 2:

Get one ribbon strip and add some glue on one corner. Fold it toward the other edge forming a triangle. Do the same on the other corner. Add a dot of glue on the folded corner, then take the tip of the triangle, fold it, and stick it to the glue. Do the same on the other tip. Repeat the steps with the remaining 11.

Step 3:

Take 7 pieces and set them aside.

Step 4:

Start with the first 5. Get one of the pieces and add glue from the center to the right side on the bottom edge. Stick the left side of another piece on top of the glue. Repeat for the remaining 3. After that, glue the ends together.

Step 5:

Do the same with the 7 pieces you set aside earlier but do not stick the ends together. Put some glue on the back edge of the first 2 pieces. Then roll it until the other edge.

Step 6:

Place the 7-petal rose into the 5-petal piece. Add glue to the sides of the petal to secure them in place.
